Chaussettes Mosi

La famille Mosi s’agrandit ! Après les moufles, le bonnet et le pull, j’ai maintenant conçu des chaussettes en utilisant mon fil Katla, le premier fil fin (sport/DK) à chaussettes islandais, en pure laine d’agneau islandaise avec un soupçon de soie. Les petits motifs en jacquard à fils flottants ajoutent de l’épaisseur pour des chaussettes bien chaudes. Les couleurs rappellent la mousse spongieuse (mosi en islandais) qui recouvre les champs de lave en Islande. Les chaussettes sont tricotées des côtes vers la pointe avec un talon rapporté.

You can achieve more sizes by changing needle size and adjust the length by adding or withdrawing rnds/ bands of motif.
Finished measurements:
Foot circumference: 21(23,25.5,27.5) cm / 8(9,10,11)”
Foot length: 19(21,23.5,24.5) cm / 7½(8¼,9¼, 9¾)”
Recommended fit: negative ease of 2.5 cm /1” in circumference and 15% in length.
Gauge: 10 cm /4” = 26 sts and 32 rows in stocking st on 2.5 mm / US 1½ needle
Yarn: Katla sokkaband by Hélène Magnússon: pure new Icelandic lambswool with a dash of silk (1%), DK/sport weight sock yarn, 4 ply, non superwash, 100g skein = 220 m/ 240 yds: 1 skein each

- MC Moss green: 67(79,93,105) m / 74(87,102,115) yds
- CC1 Raven black: 48(57,67,75) m / 53(63,74,82) yds
- CC2 Anis green: 73(87,102,115) m / 80(95,112,126) yds
Needle: 2.5 mm / US 1½ circular needle suitable for magic loop. You can also use double-pointed needles or any method to knit small diameters in the rnd. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: stitch marker, darning needle, sock blocker
Techniques:
The socks are knitted from the cuff down with an afterthought heel. Both the heel and the toe are shaped with centred double decreases.
